Memories almost 25 yrs old
My first and only Dead show. From eating $1 tacos with meat fished out of a coleman beverage cooler by hand, to $5 huge nitrous balloons sold out of the back of a "Ryder" truck to the most memorable: The 6' 5" tall dude walking past the Erie County Sheriff with nothing on but his sunglasses and flip-flops. Schlong swinging in the breeze and the cop just shakes his head... What a day !!

Glad to be there
Nice job, we can really hear Phil on this one. I recall that there where about 110K peoples inside and another 250K outside for the party. After seeing these guys in the 80's the smallest show was about 7500 and largest was 55K, I was blown away with the literal sea of fools. Yes me being the biggest. This was the was the largest show I was ever at until the SARS festival in T.O. Canada with just over 500K. My rating is for the crowd because I feel the music will always shine no matter the weather.

my first REAL Grateful Dead Parking Lot Scene. This was crazy, we camped right there outside Rich Stadium for 3 days...... it was awesome and so was the music

The playing matched the setlist, lame and uninspired. Buffalo usually brings out the best in the boys (77, 79, 81, 89, 90) today was not one of them. Skip this one.

last great show of my life
I remember this show sounding better than it does here, but I guess "you had to be there"...there sure were a lot more crashers and general non-fans that just came for the party, but the vibe was mostly positive and high. I was with my then girlfriend, now wife, and we were young and in love and that made everything sweeter. She wasn't a big fan herself and I got a kick out of showing her everything and getting her into the experience. Maybe not the best show ever, but I'd spent too much time in the 80's wishing that I'd seen the band in the 60's and 70's...this night I was just ready to enjoy things for what they were.

i was at this show the sound was aweful all show long im thinkin they werent expecting 125,000 ppl to show up but if anywhere its buffalo it did seem to sound better after dark or maybe it was cuz i was sober best area to listen was in front of the soundboard but then again you can tell it wasnt that good i give the sound a 2 and the set a 4
I was there-great show great time, great set list-this is a poor recording though.
Don't get me wrong, I love that someone has posted it up here-but the sound quality is POOR. I can't imagine it was soundboard, sounds more like 8-track from a 72 impala. Thin, wavey, lots of crowd noise

Hit-or-miss, with several nice nuggets
This was my first show, so I have fond memories. First set is solid (aud sound improves along with the band), with Masterpiece, Ramble On Rose & Let It Grow the clear highlights. Second set is a little tepid, but features an interesting Other One that actually starts with a Spanish Jam intro. Holds its own in this generally so-so year of Dead.
